I have tried to capture small cameos of Canadian scenery ...
Heading for and past rhe Rockies .....to....
the sandy, rocky, cave-ridden landscapes of Iraq and Afghanistan ...forbidding territory..
in foreign lands...unfamiliar and far away......
portraying our wounded and a red cross truck - bringing them safely home again.............
On the top of the helmet - I have painted small stars and the crescent moon - no matter where they are in the world, our soldiers just have to look up to the heavens, and it will remind them of the homeland they have left far behind....and the loved ones waiting for their safe return..............
I hope that my helmet raises some funds for this worthy foundation..........
